Betfred League One returns this weekend with clubs preparing for Round 11 of the competition…
Keighley Cougars celebrated a vital win against Oldham last Sunday to go two points clear at the top of the table.
Izaac Farrell scored on his Cougars debut with the hosts dominating much of the game and scoring five tries to put them in control of the competition heading into Sunday (2 June) when they travel to Midland Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes recorded their first win over North Wales Crusaders since 2017 last weekend but have only beaten Sunday’s opponent once in their last five meetings – a 24-18 defeat back in 2021.
Oldham will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat last weekend when they travel to North Wales on Saturday (1 June). The Crusaders come into the fixture after six straight losses, and also failed to overcome the Roughyeds on three occasions last season.
A strong second half performance from Hunslet saw them beat Cornwall 42-16 last weekend. Alan Kilshaw’s side travel to Workington Town with Jarrod Summat just one try away from the 200 mark – could he be celebrating on Sunday?
Cornwall host Newcastle Thunder at The Memorial Ground on Sunday. The two sides will be meeting for the first time in their history in what’s set to be a battle between the bottom two teams in the table.
